In 2007, Nintendo released Super Mario Galaxy, one of the top sellers in the Mario franchise of games. Soon to be released will be the next installment and much anticipated release of Super Mario Galaxy 2. This new game is everything you love about the first with much more.

In this game, once again we find Mario with the ability of teaming up with his dinosaur pal Yoshi. When Mario finds one of the special Yoshi eggs, he can break it open to find Yoshi inside. Then all he needs to do is hop aboard and he has the help of Yoshi. Utilizing the Wii controller, Yoshi can eat fruit and enemies to help out Mario on his quest.

There are some new tools available to Mario in Super Mario Galaxy 2. There is a drill which Mario can use to drill into the ground to travel to the other side of he world he is on. Along with new items, there are many old features found in this game that were in the first one.

The multi player action is also more involved this time. When another player jumps into the game, they can help gather star pieces, coins and even 1-ups to help out Mario. The first version of the game only let the player collect star bits. Now they can even pick up enemies.

There is also a great new suit for Mario to wear, the cloud suit. As cloud Mario, you can shake the remote and for a limited time, a cloud platform will appear under you. This will help you get to hard to reach places. However, it only lasts a short time and you only get three uses per power up.

It is plain to see that the new Super Mario Galaxy 2 will prove to be a great addition to the Mario franchise of games. It has been a much anticipated release for fans of the hero and promises to not disappoint. Surely, this will be a new favorite among Mario game fans.
